Boruto Chapter 80 Recap
Beginning with Boruto still on the run after being accused of murdering Naruto, Chapter 80 of the Boruto manga. When Shikamaru approaches Eida, she admits that Boruto is indeed to blame for Naruto’s demise. Kawaki grabs Eida violently by the collar and threatens to seal Naruto up until he can murder Boruto. Sarada then starts crying as Shikamaru makes public the purported atrocity committed by Boruto. Eida wonders whether Kawaki really has to take matters so far when Mitsuki intends to pursue Boruto.
When Sasuke locates Sarada, she alerts him of Mitsuki’s attempt to capture Boruto. The fact that Sasuke views Mitsuki’s response as “natural” suggests that he may have been influenced by Eida’s power. In the meantime, Sumire gets in touch with Sarada and informs her that Eida is the one casting the magic that affects everyone but them. Sasuke is still under the influence of Eida and instructs Sarada to return home despite Sarada’s valiant efforts to convince him that Boruto is innocent. In a fit of conceit, Sarada activates her Mangeky Sharingan and asks her father to assist Boruto.
After convincing Boruto, Sasuke leads him away while explaining their previous confrontations with Kawaki and their triumph against Momoshiki. When Eida notices this, she resolves to go after them. Momoshiki asks that Boruto give him his body and remain confined to a room forever, but Boruto rejects him and says that as a shinobi, he has inherited the will of his parents and grandparents. While Code plots to take revenge and Kawaki continues to wish to murder Boruto, he gets ready to practice to become stronger to fight Kawaki.
